Indulge with the best body and face treatments. Pamper yourself with the ultimate boost to mind and body - a luxury treatment in the haven of a top salon or spa. Allow the professionals to work their magic on you so that you are looking your best for the new season ... and ready to enjoy long, languid summer days and balmy nights under the stars, either at home or on holiday at some exotic resort. Here are some head-to-toe indulgences.

Exotic Aroma Chi Journey
Enjoy an Exotic Flower body treatment, perfect for smoothing and hydrating the skin, plus the aroma of flowers has an uplifting, awakening effect on the mind. Try white ginger lily, pink lotus, jasmine, lavender or frangipani.

The treatment
This spa sensation begins on a grounding note with a soothing foot soak. Next is the exotic flower polish to slough away old skin and prepare the body to soak in the aromatic hydrating body wrap. Once the wrap has been applied, you are cocooned in a cosy thermal blanket to ensure maximum absorption. After the wrap, you have a hydrotherapy bath, followed by an hour’s massage with the exotic flower oil of your choice.

A session of two hours and 45-minutes costs $320. Call Heaven on Earth Spa on (02) 9913 7366.

Murad Vitamin C Firm & Tone Body Treatment
Try this mega vitamin boost to enhance your natural skin elasticity for a firmer, more toned look. It also helps to replenish sun-damaged areas by improving the skin’s clarity, and also fading brown spots or freckles.

The treatment
The skin is first brushed with a dry body brush to encourage circulation before exfoliation with alpha and beta-hydroxy acids Exfoliating Cleanser, followed by a 40 per cent vitamin C Firm and Tone Body Treatment Gel. This is massaged into the skin using light movements so that the active ingredients are readily absorbed. While the vitamins are infusing, a soothing foot massage is performed, and the treatment is finished with the application of a layer of Murad luxurious vitamin C firming Body Cream.

How much and where?
A 50-minute session is about $90 from selected spas and salons. Call 1300 362 027.

Universal Contour Wrap
A detoxifying treatment that results in the loss of centimetres combines Dead Sea clay and body-wrapping techniques from ancient Egyptian times.

The treatment
Warm bandages soaked in a natural sea-clay solution are used to firmly wrap the body from head to toe. The clay works like a giant poultice to draw out impurities, while the bandages compress skin tissue, creating a smoother and firmer effect. A minimum loss of 15cm in total is guaranteed on your first wrap, or the treatment is free! And if any of this comes back within 30 days of the treatment, you’ll be ‘re-wrapped’ free of charge.

How much and where?
One wrap is $150, a course of three is $350 at selected spas and salons. Call 1300 304 734.

Fantasy Tan
Spray tans are the latest way to gain an even and realistic suntan without streaks or patches. If you can’t get to a salon, a consultant will apply the tan in the privacy of your own bathroom.

The treatment
All you have to do is stand still while the 'sprayer' uses an air-brush system that atomises the self-tanner into a cooling vapour to coat you in your desired shade of golden brown. For the best results it’s recommended that you exfoliate before the treatment, and shave or wax at least eight hours prior. You must wait eight to 12 hours before showering after your spray tan, which will last for seven to 10 days.

How much and where?
A full-body Fantasy Tan costs from about $35 to $60. Call (02) 9453 3918 to find a salon or operator.
